Solar Power On the Go

Portable solar panel power. Not possible, right? Wrong.
A company called SunPods Inc filled this need when inventing a solar panel that is shipped from factory to consumer, no on-site set up necessary. While the solar panel doesn’t exactly fit in your pocket, it is shipped “pre-assembled,” and this adds an entirely new convenience to this renewable energy source.
Designed with the consumer in mind, these products are built to serve multiple purposes for the user. While some models are designed to power nearly any type of electric vehicles, others serve has a covered parking space. These solar panels are Smartgrid capable as well, so your investment will continue to evolve with the upcoming technology. SunPods can also be used as backup power to insure no power outages in the most critical of situations. At this point, you may be asking yourself, “What situation can be so critical?” I think I can answer this question by simply mentioning one of SunPods Inc.’s well-known consumers: The US Military.
According to the Army Energy Program, in 2007 congress mandated that 25% of the military’s energy usage be renewable by 2025. In order to help them reach this target, SunPods Inc is providing them with a new piece of technology, the SunPod. Its portability and low maintenance structure have proven ideal for our armed men and women who need power on the go and I’m sure the fact that is not run by fossil fuels truly seals the deal.
Needless to say, whether you need a plug for your electric car, a backup generator for important data, or portable power in times of military conflict, SunPods are making portable solar power a practical reality.
