Bill Richardson: The SmartPower Interview

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson is one of the Democrats running for President and energy–clean energy in particular–is a big part of his campaign. (And as a former Secretary of Energy he knows what he’s talking about.)
I caught up with Governor Richardson on the campaign trail in New Hampshire a few days ago and we had a chance to talk about clean energy and SmartPower. His ideas for moving toward clean, renewable energy and breaking our dependence on fossil fuels were very much in step with what we’ve been talking about here on the blog. It’s not surprising that he’s noticed the work that SmartPower has been doing.

[...] Bill Richardson is among the Democratic candidates getting a generally positive review from the column, including his endorsement of an “Apollo Program” to develop clean energy resources and his pledge to a Smartpower-like commitment to get 20% of New Mexico’s energy from renewable resources by 2020. (You can watch the video of my chat with Richardson on these issues here.) [...]
[...] While talking with Tim Russert about clean energy, Richards reiterated much of what he said to us during our interview with him earlier this month (the SmartPower interview is here.) [...]
