Arizona SmartPower

Arizona Smartpower

Arizona SmartPower, a partnership with Arizona Public Service (APS), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping Arizona residents make smart energy choices in a variety of ways:

The Arizona Solar Challenge

The Arizona Solar Challenge empowers communities across the state to commit to installing solar on 5% of owner-occupied homes by 2015.

Our integrated community engagement approach connects solar prospects with local solar adopters – Solar Ambassadors - to reach into existing community networks and help others consider solar. We offer the services of a Solar Coach, a neutral third-party expert who guides consumers from awareness to installation. And we work with community leaders and local organizations to build on their networks.

We work completely free of charge and do not accept fees or commissions from any installer, contractor, equipment manufacturer or vendor.

Electric Vehicle Stakeholder Project

As electric car companies begin pilot programs in Phoenix and Tucson, we’re bringing policy makers and thought leaders from across Arizona together to discuss the challenges and benefits of electric vehicles and their associated infrastructure.
