Utilities - Western Mass Saves

In 2009, SmartPower teamed up with Western Massachusetts Electric Company (WMECO) to help reduce energy use of residents in Western Massachusetts.  With a particular focus on younger adults, SmartPower and our technology partner, Efficiency 2.0, created the Western Mass Saves campaign, which combines on the ground community outreach with a unique on-line platform that provides personalized energy savings reductions, customized for homeowners. The campaign uses community outreach and a cutting-edge interactive website with a virtual “Personal Energy Advisor” to help Western Massachusetts be a leader in energy reduction.”
 
Western Mass Saves (WMS) has become an important tool for cities and towns across the WMECO service territory. WMS partners with these towns, and offers the on-line platform so that municipalities can provide their residents a simple yet effective way to reduce monthly utility bills and help the environment.
