Solarize CT Hits 14MW!

​In less than 30 months, Solarize accounts for almost 30% of of all Connecticut’s residential solar

​Solarize Connecticut hit a major milestone this week with the announcement that in just under 30 months, over 14 Megawatts of solar have been contracted across 42 Connecticut cities and towns. 

​During these campaigns almost one-third of all the state’s solar came from the Solarize schools of pharmacy canada program. To put that in context, that’s the equivalent of removing over 11,997,000 pounds of coal or over 25,000 barrels of oil from our energy supply. Over 1800 homes across the state have now participated in Solarize CT, which works with town leaders, local volunteers, and solar installers to provide discount pricing to program participants. Solarize Connecticut is a partnership between CT Green Bank and SmartPower and participating cities and towns. And the solar installations show no sign of slowing down.
