Energize Norwich
“Energize Norwich” was a pilot program supported by a partnership between the Connecticut Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority, Norwich (CT) Public Utilities, Core Plus Federal Credit Union, Eastern Savings Bank and SmartPower. The “Energize Norwich” campaign was designed to encourage Norwich residents to save money by adopting energy savings measures for their home as well as to convert from oil heat to natural gas. The program employed many of SmartPower’s Solarize strategies, including preselected contractors, discount and tiered pricing, and a clear program end date. Partnerships with local banks provided residents with access to no money down financing so they could afford to invest in energy efficient measures that will lowered their monthly bills.
